Eddie came into Sonya’s life in the most unexpected way. While casually researching sale horses with no intention of buying, she came across his advertisement and instantly knew he was meant to be hers. Sometimes the right horse simply finds you.

A gifted mover with exceptional expression and sensitivity, Eddie arrived carrying the emotional and physical imprint of a rigid dressage program. His brilliance was undeniable, but so was his need for a different approach. Through Sonya’s classically relational training philosophy—grounded in biomechanics, nervous system regulation, and trust—Eddie has rediscovered confidence, freedom, and joy in his work.

As their partnership has deepened, Eddie has learned to channel his expressive movement through relaxation and balance, allowing his natural talent to shine without sacrificing his emotional well-being. Together they continue to grow as both athlete and teacher, demonstrating that true collection begins with a regulated mind and a willing heart.

Today, Eddie is Sonya’s partner in the dressage arena, where they are pursuing their USDF Silver and Gold Medals while continuing to refine the harmony, softness, and connection that define their journey. More than a competition horse, Eddie is a daily reminder that when horses are truly seen, heard, and supported, they become extraordinary partners.
